Combat Knives |
On September 11, 2001, the day we were so outrageously attacked by Muslim fanatics set upon us by terrorist countries, I found myself intensely outraged and helplessly frustrated. For most of the next week, I stayed glued to the TV and Internet news services hoping to find some reason in the madness. All that became clear was that we were at war, potentially one of the most vicious and insidiously terrifying wars in our history, one aimed mostly at civilian men, women and children by a heartless foe — a cowards’ war.
The following week, I found the answer to my frustrations, and designed a family of combat knives, suited to dealing with terrorists or any others who would harm our country or endanger my family.
Meet the family, Retribution... |
Evolving from my earlier Hunter-Killer model, but without a bolster guard, Retribution (at top) is a 7” combat knife, weighing in at just 10 oz. Designed for strength as well as utility, Retribution employs a special hollow grinding technique using small contact wheels to permit keen edges on both top and bottom, while retaining a heavy spine through the middle, almost to the point. In all these knives, a band of 3/16” thick steel extends to within 1-1/2” of the point and is never less than 1/8” until it meets the point. The strong recurved edge is fully convex for both strength and remarkable cutting efficiency. Serration’s on the upper edge are optional, designed for sawing — not slicing.
The handle is ergonomic for a secure grip and comes in a choice of Linen or Canvas Micarta. mosaic or hollow handle pins and thong hole. |

Here, handled in Green Canvas Micarta with the optional serration’s, is the original 9/11 Retribution prototype. At 7”, it is within the carry restrictions of some military units. Holding the knife it’s easy to remember the now famous battle cry of this deadly new war, “Let’s roll...“ Retribution is priced at $400 in 154CM or $475 in S30V or CPM-3V, with serration’s a $60 option. Heavy duty Concealex sheath is included. |

Retribution! |

Companion to the Retribution is the smaller Reprisal. The 3-1/4” blade and disarmingly secure handle make for a perfect boot knife for tasks where a smaller blade is preferred. While offering a very useful primary edge, Reprisal is also equipped with a sharpened swedge and strong point for any needs which may arise. Price is $275 in 154CM or $325 in S30V or CPM-3V, including sheath. |
Massive Retribution; it could have no other name. At 12” and 18” OAL, but weighing only 16 oz., this is a powerful knife capable of severing almost anything it encounters. Whether clearing a trail, chopping heavy rope, or taking down a target, this knife will serve with uncommon efficiency without hauling the excess weight normally associated with big knives. Price is $500 in 154CM or $600 in S30V or CPM-3V. |
Revenge, Retribution with an attitude. Same specifications but with a tanto-shaped blade for those who prefer such. The mirror polish is optional, but only for show. Prices are the same as Retribution. |
